About Rosalind Solar

We worked with environmental experts, neighbors, and county leaders to develop a Project that blends in with the natural landscape of the area. Rosalind Solar features vast setbacks, vegetative screening, and a footprint that allows for numerous wildlife corridors, all while maintaining its rural character.

The Facts About Rosalind Solar

  • Generate up to 85 MW of electricity, enough to power 16,000 Virginia homes
  • Significant amounts of land to remain undisturbed and unoccupied by equipment to be used as open space and wildlife corridors
  • Extremely limited visibility with at least 100-feet of existing mature timber or planted vegetative buffering to be maintained around the entire project
  • No audible noise and no exterior projecting lighting is to be installed with a low-profile height at a maximum of 15 feet
  • All activity set back at least 150-feet from all property lines
  • Generate at least $14.8 million in direct revenue to Greenville County through revenue share and property taxes

Location Information

The property is located adjacent to an existing quarry on relatively flat and contiguous land. The property allows for extensive buffers to screen the site from view and to conserve land as open space for utilization by wildlife.
